About First Week
First Week is written and run by Adam Lewis, an EAL teacher with almost 15 years' experience. He teaches EAL every day in a British international primary school, and is in the final stages of a doctorate in education, researching how EAL support is organised in schools around the world.
First Week is written for UK primary schools to help new arrivals settle in, and to help their teachers give them the support they need from the first day.
